Remis­si­on is the tem­po­ra­ry reduc­tion or tem­po­ra­ry dis­ap­pearance of can­cer sym­ptoms. A cure is not achie­ved, howe­ver. A dif­fe­ren­tia­ti­on is made bet­ween par­ti­al remis­si­on (par­ti­al dis­ap­pearance or reduc­tion of tumors) and com­ple­te remis­si­on (no tumor detectable).
